Arc Greater Twin Cities, a partner organization of the Human Services Division will be hosting an upcoming workshop Monday, March 6, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Crowne Plaza (5401 Green Valley Dr., Bloomington). Developmental Disabilities and Sexuality Talking with Your Kids: It's Never Too Soon To Begin is a workshop for parents with kids with developmental disabilities.
Katherine McLaughlin, M.Ed. is an expert on sexuality and development disabilities, has taught sexuality education to people with developmental disabilities as well as trained them to be peer sexuality educators themselves. Join McLaughlin for a conversation about the challenges and barriers on this topic.

Open to everyone. This food distribution program can save you up to 40 percent on brand-name groceries. Items include fresh produce, frozen meat and other basic groceries. There are no income guidelines. Cash, credit, debit, and EBT are accepted.
The Bloomington Academy for Safe Elders program provides resources, safety education, and crime prevention tips to citizens of Bloomington who are 50 and older. Human Services partners with Public Health, Public Works, Bloomington Police, Fire Department, and other organizations to provide expert perspectives on topics such as scams, fire prevention, emergency preparedness, home safety, hands only CPR/AED training, driver safety, and more. This 8-week workshop is offered Wednesday, April 5 - May 24, 9 - 11:15 a.m. at various City locations. Register by Wednesday, March 22. The program is free. Space is limited. Practice and improve your English skills at Creekside Community Center. This program provides small group tutoring in a relaxed and informal setting. A variety of skills are taught including writing, basic conversation, and daily life skills. This program does not provide an English proficiency test. Offered Mondays and Tuesdays, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Human Services partners with Prepare + Prosper and AARP Tax-Aide to make these programs available. Tax assistance will be provided to individuals who meet income requirements. Taxpayers with complex tax returns are advised to seek paid tax assistance.
