Our services during the Stay Home Executive Order from Governor Walz

The Minnesota Board of Animal Health will continue its operations to protect the health of the state’s domestic animals through education and cooperation with veterinarians, producers, owners and communities throughout the Governor’s two-week Stay Home Executive Order.

Our St. Paul office staff are able to telework and are carrying on their duties remotely.

We know how important it is to stay in touch with you during this time, so some of our contact options have changed to accommodate to our new working environment.

We urge you to contact us via email at these inboxes:

We also have an online form library to take care of things like requesting movement permits and submitting payments, which is available at: mn.gov/bah/online-forms.

Our field staff are exempt from the Stay Home Executive Order as they are critical state employees in the food and agriculture sector. They will continue with regulatory tasks and will call ahead to all appointments/farm visits and maintain the six-foot social distancing guidelines while they are out. Please tell our staff if you are ill and they can work with you to reschedule visits for a future date. Additionally, our staff will stay at home if they are ill and not conduct any site visits.

We encourage you, and our staff, to follow the CDCs simple illness prevention steps of routinely washing your hands throughout the day, avoiding close contact with others when possible, and cleaning and disinfecting shared surfaces often.

All information and updates regarding the Board and COVID-19 are on our webpage: mn.gov/bah/covid-19.
