Small Business Resources during COVID-19 Pandemic


To provide your services or supplies to the Federal and State government during this Peacetime State of Emergency:

Provide information about your company, capacity, and specifics of what your business has and/or can provide timely in support of the COVID-19 pandemic. Register with the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) for assistance.

  1. Federal Government: You must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).

Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED): A Guide for Minnesota Small Businesses Who Need Help

Over the past few weeks, several state and federal programs have been built to assist small businesses struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Different programs make sense for different businesses, so DEED is providing a summary guide to help small businesses quickly see which programs might be right for their situation.

Request for Information for PPE in response to COVID-19

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) welcomes industry to identify alternatives or identify additional PPE items necessary to protect against viral contamination of the COVID-19. Additional information may be found here.

Specific PPE Categories:

  1. Protective Coveralls, in any variant, i.e. with hood and booties, without hood and booties, with hood no booties, with booties no hood, etc.
  2. Protective Aprons and or Gowns
  3. Protective Hoods
  4. Protective Masks
  5. Protective Booties
  6. Protective Gloves
  7. Protective Boots

Note: The Initial response was due by 5:00 PM, Tuesday, 24 March 2020. However, DLA will accept any and all responses received after this date and time for any ongoing requirements.


COVID-19 Federal Contracting Opportunities in betaSAM

There are many active solicitations, requests for information, and sources sought on betaSAM concerning procurement opportunities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Go to betaSAM frequently to check for opportunities. 


Office of Equity in Procurement Vendor Kiosk 

The Office of Equity in Procurement Vendor Kiosk is available to assist vendors with a variety of tasks, including: registering for a Minnesota Vendor ID number in the Supplier Portal; selecting the appropriate category codes for your vendor profile; helping vendors learn how to do business with the state; searching for state solicitations; downloading solicitation materials; submitting bid responses; answering questions about the Targeted Group/Economically Disadvantaged/Veteran-Owned (TG/ED/VO) small business program; preliminary review of TG/ED/VO certification application materials; and referral to appropriate small business and equity resources.
