CENSUS 2020 IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER

If you spend six months or more in Michigan, make sure you are counted as a resident of Michigan in the Census.
Why is this important?
  • For every person not counted in Michigan, the state loses $1,800 each year in federal funds for critical programs, including older adult services.

How can I be counted in Michigan?

  • You can respond to Census 2020 by phone or online.
  • You'll get a unique code by mail in March to use when responding.
  • If you spend more than six months in Michigan each year, use the unique Census code sent to your Michigan address in March or wait until you get home to respond.

What else do I need to Know?

  • Census workers will never ask for your social security number.
  • Your responses are secure and cannot be used against you in any way!
