Ottawa County Honors Employees for Customer Service

Join us in congratulating Dick DeWitt from the Facilities Maintainance Department and Joan Grillo from the Prosecutor's Office, who have been recognized as Ottawa County’s Outstanding Customer Service Award recipients for the fourth quarter of 2018. You can read the nominations which earned each recipient an award plus learn more about them at miOttawa.org.

"Dick cares deeply about the customers we serve. His positive 'can do' attitude is easily seen in his constant smile, chuckling banter and the many positive feelings he leaves to those around him. Dick has always been an outstanding example of customer service. We are all proud of this milestone in Dick’s career," said John Borgerding, Facilities Maintainance Supervisor.

"In any, and all, communication with victims and the community Joan shows the utmost respect, compassion, and understanding, often going above and beyond to offer support in what can be a very difficult and emotional situation for many of our customers. Her customer service skills undoubtedly reflect the standards we have here in Ottawa County and I could not think of someone more deserving of the honorable recognition of the Outstanding Customer Service Award," said Elizabeth Kuechenmeister, Office Manager for the Prosecutor.

Implemented in 2012, the Customer Service initiative is one of the County’s Four C’s, along with Communication, Cultural Intelligence and Creativity. Customers can nominate an Ottawa County employee for an Outstanding Customer Service Award at miOttawa.org.
