Lakeshore Regional Entity Community Forum

You are invited to attend a community forum to review the Lakeshore Regional Entity’s (LRE) progress on their Plan of Correction on Wednesday, June 29 at 10:00 am in the Board Room at the Ottawa County Fillmore Administration Building.

In July 2015, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) initiated a review of the LRE that focused on department concerns including insufficient centralization and consistency of managed care functions in the region leading to significant duplication and inconsistent processes that negatively affected the experience of consumers, family members and providers. Many stakeholders participated in the evaluation by Beacon Health Options and in the development of the LRE’s plan of correction. On May 4, 2016 The State of Michigan gave its formal approval to the Plan of Correction submitted by the Lakeshore Regional Entity on January 25, 2016.

The purpose of this meeting is to:

1. Provide stakeholders a brief review of the Beacon Report
2. Review the 15 areas of MDHHS Concern
3. Review the current status of the Plan of Correction (accomplishments, progress and work remaining)
4. Obtain feedback from the community on the LRE’s efforts
