Technology Enhancements on July 2
Michigan Office of Retirement Services sent this bulletin at 06/29/2018 04:30 PM EDTFor Community Colleges and Universities
When you log into the Employer Reporting website on July 2 you will notice the following technology enhancements:
-
You may now make adjustments to records with an end date on or before September 3, 2012. On January 3, 2018, we sent an email instructing you to hold off on making adjustments to these records. That temporary stop has been lifted.
- You may now post Summer Spread wages (using wage codes 08 and 85) with record begin dates of 5/1/2018 through 9/30/18.
-
Some employment codes (used for retirees who returned to work) will now work without causing records to suspend:
- 9013, 9014, 9015
- 9023, 9024, 9025
The employment codes 9033, 9034, and 9035 will still cause records to suspend. Continue to report with these codes as normal and allow them to suspend. They will post automatically when this issue is fixed. For more information on reporting retirees, see the updated Working After Retirement – Employer Guide.
-
The View Employee Information screen will now show DC Contributions (reported on a DTL4 record) even when the DLT2 record for the same pay period is suspended or was not reported. For example: until a new employee elects a benefit plan, the DTL2 record will suspend. The View Employee Information screen will now show the DC Contribution rates for that employee.
- The View Employee Information screen will also display a status reason code and status change date on a DTL4 record. See illustration below.
