A Message to the Community from your

Holly Police Department

Jerry L. Walker, Village Manager

Jerry L. Narsh, Chief of Police

We want to take a moment and share with you the actions we are taking to ensure your police officers stay healthy in order to continue providing law enforcement services during the COVID-19 outbreak. First responders by virtue of their community role, are constantly placed in at-risk environments. To mitigate exposure risk to officers and the public we serve, we have modified our methods to comply with social distancing strategies while still delivering exceptional police services. We may look a little different, but its still us behind the mask!

Police Department Lobby: The lobby is temporarily closed to the public. We have suspended the following activities until further notice:

Preliminary Breath Testing – Available at local JAMS testing centers
Applicant fingerprinting
• Over the counter drop off of pistol purchase permits – Residents may mail them to the police department for processing.
Unused medication drop-off – Please keep in a secure area until we reopen.
• Face to face questions from the public on civil matters and legal issues.

Always call 911 for emergencies; police and fire personnel will always respond to you.

In addition, we have limited officers from responding to calls the Fire Department is already responding too such as sick person calls. We encourage our residents and the public to call the police department to report crimes over the phone that are not in progress, or not life threatening.

You may call us at the Department at (248) 634-8221 Monday through Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, or after hours at our dispatch center at (248) 858-4911. The officers on duty will determine if the call may be taken over the phone or require an on-scene response.

Please know that we will always respond to emergency calls to any location at any time….It’s what we do. We are out on patrol 24 hours a day protecting our resident’s homes and our businesses while you are on shutdown. We will not tolerate criminal activity, especially during a time where we are all pulling together to shelter in place. We are always here to protect and serve, but also to assist our community in any way possible to stay safe, secure and healthy!

Please practice the new Golden Rule - "Stay 6 feet apart, wash your hands often, and don't touch your face"

Thank you, Holly!
