The Lights of Battle Alley
Have you been under the Battle Alley lights yet? Our beautiful lights were installed late this summer by our DPW. These are LED "Edison Style" lights that can handle our season changing Michigan weather. We are proud that the Battle Alley lights were made possible by grants from Genisys Credit Union and Flagstar Bank, then a donation made by the Holly Dickens Festival. We hope you are able to go take a picture 'under the lights' soon! Make sure to tag Downtown Holly or hashtag #hollydda when you snap your brightly lit picture in Battle Alley.

Reminder:
New Village of Holly Snow Ordinance
In the past, the Village had a snow ordinance prohibiting parking on the streets from November 15th- April 15th. Recently, the Village Council reviewed this ordinance and a new ordinance was approved. The Council understood that large amounts of snow are not as common as light snowfalls, and the prohibiting parking all winter creates parking difficulty for residents. The new snow ordinance reads as follows; " No parking on any Village street during a snow emergency. A snow emergency is declared when two (2) inches of snow or more are predicted by the National Weather Service out of Flint or White Lake, whichever is higher. Parking will remain prohibited until 24 hours after the snowfall has ended." Therefore, only in times of 2 inches or more snow does your car need to be moved off of the streets.
