Spring Blood Drives at Troy Community Ctr
To supplement
critically low blood supplies in the area, the City of Troy is sponsoring two Red
Cross Blood Drives on Thursday, April 23 from 11 am - 4:45 pm and Friday, May 22
from 9am - 8:45pm at the Troy Community Center (Room 304), 3179 Livernois.

Walk-ins are welcome, but a photo ID or Red Cross Donor Card will be required
at the time of donation. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh more
than 110 pounds, and be in good general health to donate
Join us for a Spring Bird Hike or Volunteer to Remove Invasive Plants on April 25
Spring Bird Hike, at the Troy Nature Center, 8-10am. Join us as we hike the trails and
look for our migrating feathered friends. Bring binoculars or borrow ours. All
experience levels welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Each
participant must enroll and pay the fee. Ages 4 years-Adult. Fee: $5, TNS
Member Fee: $3
Invasive Plant Training Day, Nature Center, 12:30-4pm. We are
seeking volunteers (age 14-adult) to help us preserve our native flora by
eradicating invasive non-native plants. We’ll also work to improve the nature
trails and clean up the grounds. Work gloves, old clothes and “old fashioned
elbow grease” are recommended. No fee. Call 248.688.9703 with questions

Walk, ride your bike, rollerblade, skate board or walk your dog at one or all of the events. Enter to win great prizes at each location.
Sat, Apr 25 @ Boulan Park, 10 am. The first of the Stroll & Roll program is especially for dog lovers and their pets! First 50 participants registered will receive a free goodie bag. Meet local pet themed vendors. Pets must be on a leash, have a current log license, and love to socialize with other dogs.
May Events: May 1, 5pm at Firefighters Park and May 16, 10am at Milverton Park.
