Royal Oak Police Department
On Friday, November 1, 2013, at approximately 11:48 a.m., Royal Oak police officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle in the vicinity of E. Fourth and S. Gainsborough. A witness reported seeing two persons exit a red pickup truck and return to it a short time later with their arms filled with items.
A Royal Oak officer quickly located the vehicle driving away from the area. The officers conducted an investigation and discovered the pair had kicked in the rear door to a residential home in the 1000 block of E. Third St. Multiple stolen items were recovered which included two (2) Xbox systems, video games and prescription narcotics.
“Thanks to the witness’s quick actions and the Royal Oak officers’ speedy response to the area, these criminals were captured and the victim’s property was recovered.”
The first suspect is Kirk Locklear of Madison Heights. He is 21-years-old and does not have a criminal record. Locklear was charged with Home Invasion-Second Degree and arraigned by Oakland County 6th Circuit Magistrate Andra Richardson. Bond was set at $10,000, no 10%. The next scheduled court date is set for the 44th District Court on November 8th at 0900 hours in front of the Honorable Terrence Brennan.
The second suspect is Randall Jarvis of Madison Heights. He is 23-years-old and has a criminal record. His criminal record includes Disorderly Conduct and two (2) Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated. Jarvis was charged with Home Invasion-Second Degree and was arraigned by Oakland County 6th Circuit Honorable Magistrate Andra Richardson. Bond was set at $10,000, no 10%. The next scheduled court date is set for the 44th District Court on November 8th at 0900 hours in front of the Honorable Terrence Brennan.
Home Invasion-Second Degree is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 15 years or a fine of not more than $3,000.00, or both.
