Memorial Society Announcements
Memorial Day Weekend is Starting Early!
Michigan Vietnam Veterans Traveling Memorial
Tuesday, May 21, 2013, 9:00am - 8:00pm to Thursday, May 23, 9:00am - 8pm
The Memorial was escorted to the Royal Oak Farmers Market on Tuesday morning by the Legion Riders and the Royal Oak Police. The Memorial will be on display under the west atrium of the Farmers Market (316 E 11 Mile Rd), Tuesday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. This is a free event and open to the public.
There are 10 Royal Oak residents in the display that do not have a photograph with their bios. The hope is someone who knew these men will come forward with photographs until there is a picture of each Royal Oaker whose name appears on the memorial. Thank you to Judy Davis of the Patch for bringing this to the forefront.
