Attend a meeting - Commissioners meet as a full Board and as four different standing committees. The public is welcome to attend and offer comment. Meetings are held at 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Bldg. 12E in Pontiac. A calendar is available at our website.

The Board of Commissioners website continues to provide resources for residents including:

The Oakland County website welcomes over 300,000 monthly visitors, so it was a priority for the County to make this digital space a user-friendly experience for all residents. Explore the new updates for yourself by visiting www.oakgov.com.
The Board regularly recognizes residents, community members, organizations and businesses with proclamations and certificates in honor of special milestones, contributions or achievements. See the list below for recent recognitions.

New and expanded government offices in Highland Township that better serve residents and local businesses were celebrated with a ribbon cutting – presented by Commissioners Bob Hoffman (District 7) and Philip J. Weipert (District 13), Apr. 14
- Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Clawson was honored for its 100th anniversary – presented by Commissioner Penny Luebs (District 2), Apr. 14

Oakland County Youth Assistance was lauded for its accomplishments in observance of its 70th anniversary – presented by Commissioner Karen Joliat (District 8) with unanimous support from all commissioners, Apr. 20

The Board designated April 28 as Workers Memorial Day in Oakland County to honor and remember fallen and injured workers – presented by Commissioners Charlie Cavell (District 18), Ajay Raman (District 14) and William Miller (District 16) with support from Commissioner Angela Powell (District 9), Apr. 20

Twelve-year-old Aryan Khedkar, a seventh grader at Baker Middle School in Troy, was honored as the Oakland Schools Regional Spelling Bee champion – presented by Commissioner Penny Luebs with support from Commissioners Michael J. Gingell (District 6) and Brendan Johnson (District 4), Apr. 20
- Furbaby Boutique, a local small business specializing in pet supplies for cats and dogs in Holly, opened its doors – presented by Commissioner Hoffman, Apr. 20
- Congratulations were presented to Janet Roncelli, Ph.D., who was named as the Preservationist of the Year by Preservation Bloomfield and The Friends of Preservation Bloomfield – presented by Vice Chair Marcia Gershenson (District 11) with support from Commissioner Powell, Apr. 21

After the damage from last June’s devastating fire shuttered it, the Holly Moose Lodge reopened with a ribbon cutting – presented by Commissioner Hoffman, Apr. 27

Oakland County Parks and Recreation is hosting free entry days on May 6 and 7. Restore in the outdoors and enjoy free daily park entry with access to trails, dog parks, playgrounds and fishing spots at all parks in the Oakland County system. - Veterans can register now to attend a free Veterans Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 25 at the The Costick Center (28600 W. Eleven Mile Road) in Farmington Hills. Representatives from several organizations will be onsite to serve all veterans, active duty, guard and reserves and their families with a variety of resources, including free food boxes. - The more than 89,500 residents who are enrolled in Medicaid must complete Michigan’s Medicaid renewal process to avoid any potential gaps in healthcare coverage. Those currently enrolled can check their mail, email, or text to make sure they do not miss their renewal paperwork or visit https://bit.ly/OCMedicaid23 for more information.
