Looking for more information about COVID vaccines as you prepare to sign up your kids (and yourself) for a special COVID vaccination for county employees this week.
You will get the chance at 2:30 p.m. TODAY (Nov. 29) when you can tune into this special Microsoft teams link for an information and question and answer session with Oakland County’s medical director and Board Certified Pediatric Specialist, Dr. Russell Faust.
He will tell you everything you want to know about pediatric and adult doses of the COVID-19 vaccine so you can prepare for a special vaccine clinic for employees that will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 2 at Waterford Oaks County Park.
Just in time for the holiday season, pediatric doses will be available to family members of county employees, who are between the ages of 5 and 11. Boosters are available to anyone ages 18 and up. First and second doses also will be available for anyone ages 12 and up.
A second-dose clinic will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 22, also at Waterford Oaks, where kids and adults, beginning at age 5 and up, can get their first or second dose, adults can get boosters and anyone can get the flu vaccine.
Appointments for this special vaccination clinic for county employees are highly encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome too. To make an appointment, go to: https://www01.oakgov.com/ServicesReg/
If you or your child can’t make the Dec. 22 second dose clinic, call the nurse on call to make an appointment at 800-848-5533, or go to OaklandCountyvaccine.com to find a list of upcoming vaccine clinics.
Now’s the time to ensure a healthy holiday season and New Year for your family, so schedule your appointment now.
