The Michigan State Police Office of School Safety has opened registration for its upcoming School Safety Academies. These academies provide school safety teams and community partners with high‑impact training designed to strengthen prevention, preparedness, and response across Michigan schools. Please visit the Office of School Safety’s Professional Development page to begin the registration process. Register early for academy sessions, as space is limited.
In addition, the Office of School Safety has released updated Standard Response Terminology information in compliance with Public Act 271 of 2024. This terminology helps schools, families, and first responders operate from a shared understanding during emergency situations, improving clarity and coordination when it matters most.
