On September 10-14, the Detroit Regional Chamber is sponsoring a visit from a delegation of the Portuguese Engineering and Tooling Cluster. The delegation is comprised of four mold making companies seeking opportunities to meet potential new customers and explore partnerships with complementary companies interested in collaboration. Over the course of four days the visitors will travel within the region to meet with select businesses to introduce themselves and describe their services and capabilities.

Moldes RP
Moldes RP was established in 1990. The company specializes in the production of technical precision plastic injection moulds, offering precision and other technical requirements for several business sectors.
Recently Moldes RP increased its own technical abilities, thereby keeping pace with new technologies and trends. These new technologies improved the production process and the output for each tool.

Moldit
Moldit, industria de moldes, S.A., was founded in 1990 and started working in 1991 with 20 persons in a space of 1000m2, today belongs to the Durit Group.
Located in Oliveira de Azemeis, one of the main poles for the mold making in Portugal.
Moldit today has modern facilities, distributed in an area of 7300m2, with the capability to make tools up to 60T in weight. Ribermold
Ribermold has wide experience in the design, development and manufacture of moulds. Founded in 1987 by Alberto Ribeiro, the company combines high technology accuracy, experience and motivation in the way it manages its business and deals with its customers. That is why it invests in the continuous training of its employee in the field of new technologies and innovative manufacturing methods.
Ribermold harmonizes three key concepts in the work it performs: quality, deadline and competitive price.
Supplied with the most sophisticated equipment on the market, the company is in possession of the cutting edge technology of CAD/CAM/CAE as well as of 3 and 5 axis high-speeds.
In the production, it has a Flexible Machining Cellule, one of the few existing in Europe that enables the machining of electrodes, their control and the EDM, with capacity for 326 electrodes and 11 pallets with fully automated exchange of electrode and operating 24 hours a day. The company also takes part in numerous partnerships with Centimfe, lnasmet, Cirtes, universities and technological centers.

Ribermold was the first toolmaker in Europe that made a new mold successfully apply in Hotsys Hot & Cool technology and from this mold building, we have accumulated enough experience and know-how to apply this technology in future projects.
Investing in technology is one of the missions of Ribermold; therefore the Technica Testing Center of the company has six injection machines ranging from 55 to 370 for mould trials and small pre-series with robot. The Center also includes a 2k 65T injection machine Krauss Maffei with robot.
Ribermold has the ISO 9001:2008 certification, investing in a policy of total quality control from communication to post-sale service with customers.
