Project Update: Garfield Road in Fraser

Reconstruction of Garfield Road between 14 Mile Road and 15 Mile Road in Fraser is anticipated to start July 22. The project will be completed in stages and is estimated to be completed in August 2025. One northbound lane of traffic will be maintained during the first stage of construction operations with the southbound lane being detoured to Utica Road. Access to all residential and business properties will be maintained throughout the duration of the project. A posted detour will be in place. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes.

The project includes new road drainage, curb and gutter, concrete pavement, traffic signals, and replacement of the Harrington Drain. The project will widen Garfield Road to three lanes with a northbound lane, southbound lane and a center turn lane. Click here for additional project information.
