Project Update: Washington Road bridge in Chesterfield Township

Washington Road between Baker Road and 25 Mile Road in Chesterfield Township will be closed to through traffic starting January 8 for the replacement of the Washington Road bridge over the Salt River. Alternate north and south routes in the area include Gratiot Avenue, I-94, Burdon Road and County Line Road. A posted detour will be in place. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes. The project includes a complete bridge replacement and bridge approach work on the road.
