Good afternoon,
A new year is upon us, and with it comes a fresh start. But before we move into 2021, I think it’s important to reflect on the last 12 months.
2020 started as any other year, but by March, we were in the midst of one of the biggest public health crises in our lifetime. And Macomb County mobilized. Our Food Program and Macomb Community Action ensured the most vulnerable in our community received the support they needed. Our Department of Planning and Economic Development delivered millions of dollars in grants to thousands of small businesses. And our Health Department responded to the call for COVID-19 education, testing and vaccination.
This is just a snapshot of the incredible work being done throughout the county - and please know, it will continue. We are here to serve you. So in 2021, if you need assistance, or have questions, please get in touch. As we demonstrated in 2020, our team stands ready to help.
Here’s to a restful end of year,
Mark
Mark A. Hackel Macomb County Executive
