Good afternoon,
The COVID-19 pandemic has created many challenges for our community, but Macomb County continues to meet those head on. For instance, we are now almost halfway through the month of December and winter weather has arrived. This means that our outdoor drive-through COVID-19 testing site in Mount Clemens has to move - not only for the safety of our workers, but also for the individuals that come to us for testing.
Knowing this, our team spent the last several weeks plotting logistics and making adjustments so we can seamlessly transition from our current facility to a new location. Stay tuned as I’ll be making an announcement later this week with those details. But please know, this new site will offer protection from the elements, but it will still be safe and effective in helping us stop the spread of the coronavirus.
On a different note, our Shop Local Macomb contest may be over, but there are still plenty of reasons to shop small in Macomb County this season. If you’re able, I ask you to consider spending some of your holiday budget at one of our fantastic local businesses. We’ve got an interactive map listing more than 1,500 independently owned and operated establishments where you can shop by appointment, curbside or online this holiday. Visit makemacombyourhome.com to find this and more. And of course, please remember to practice COVID-19 safety measures if you choose to go out.
Wishing you wellness,
Mark

The individual does not develop any symptoms or clinical evidence of COVID-19 infection during daily symptom monitoring for the 10 days after the last exposure and (2.) Daily symptom monitoring continues through day 14 after the last exposure. Learn more.
