Welcome to the MiUI Minute, your new go-to newsletter from Michigan's Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) designed to provide high-priority information about the transition in December 2025 to UIA’s new MiUI computer system. Expect the latest updates, learnings, and actionable steps in this and future newsletters for a smooth rollout. The Countdown Begins!

Go Live for Employers & TPAs is on December 15, 2025

To keep you informed and help you stay on track ahead of the launch, we are providing the following NEW resources:

The MiUI Employer Checklist is a month-by-month action item checklist that will help you prepare for Go Live. Download the checklist and review this month’s recommended tasks to prepare for December's Go Live date.

The MiUI University website offers information about the transition to MiUI. It will be updated regularly with support resources to educate you about MiUI, including overviews, guides, and videos. Bookmark Michigan.gov/MiUIUniversity.

In preparation for Go Live, MiWAM will be unavailable in early December to facilitate the transition from the Michigan Web Account Manager (MiWAM) computer system to MiUI. Exact dates will be shared in the fall.

After Go Live, you will still need to use MiWAM for benefits-related functions, but MiUI will be your new place to perform tax and employer account maintenance-related functions.
