Our 2024 annual report is now available online and we're so excited to share what we've been up to.
The Economic Transition Office’s early success is thanks to the contributions of partners who share our vision for a thriving, resilient and prosperous Michigan.
We are so proud of what we have accomplished together this first year, and look forward to continuing this work together as we build a stronger and more inclusive future for all.

The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) to create a community transition playbook -- a resource that will empower communities to prepare for and respond to economic change and proactively plan for the future.
The RFP calls for three phases: developing and facilitating local tabletop exercises and workshops, creating a community playbook with tools and resources to navigate transition events and develop forward-looking economic resilience strategies, and establishing a learning cohort of communities from around the state who will receive capacity support to deploy the playbook and community-created strategies. Eligible grant recipients will receive up to $750K per each of the three phases up to $1.5M if applying for all three phases and the program will run May-December 2025.
Application deadline: April 7, 2025, 3 p.m. EDT
How to Apply: Applications must be submitted electronically through the LEO EGrAMS website. Visit the website, click on “See Current Grants,” select “CTPP-2025 Community Transition Playbook Program – 2025,” and access all necessary documents under the “User Document” tab.
For additional details, visit the LEO EGrAMS website or email LEO at leo-grants@michigan.gov.
