Last week, the Office of the State Employer (OSE) notified state employees that as of May 11, 2023, the state was implementing several changes regarding COVID-19 practices including:
- Ending the daily online attestations through the COVID-19 screening application.
- Ending HR tracking and contact tracing of positive COVID-19 test results.
- Ending emailed and posted building notices from DTMB about positive test results.
- Discontinuing agency COVID-19 preparedness plans.
- Deactivating supervisor dashboards.
You are no longer required to inform LEO OHR of a positive COVID-19 test or fill out the online questionnaire. As stated above, notices to work areas and close contacts will be discontinued.
Based upon guidance from OSE, LEO has implemented a new Communicable Disease Policy. We encourage all employees to practice good hygiene, remain out of the workplace when sick and comply with any guidance or recommendations issued by your medical provider or public health authorities.
Thank you for your compliance with COVID-19 protocols over the last three years. Questions may be directed to leo-ohr@michigan.gov.
