In line with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), DTMB has updated its policy related to enhanced cleaning after a report of a COVID positive case at a state worksite. Effective immediately, the requirement for enhanced cleaning in locations of a reported positive COVID case in state facilities is lifted. Buildings will maintain their regular cleaning schedules.
All other COVID protocols currently in place will continue, including the requirement to report a COVID positive case (See below for LEO specific reporting procedures). DTMB will continue to send notification to building occupants as well as post on facility entrances when there has been a report of a positive case from an employee who was last within the worksite within 72 hours. LEO OHR will continue to conduct contract tracing and follow up directly with employees who were identified as a close contact.
The requirement for daily attestation forms will remain to reduce the risk of COVID positive individuals from entering the buildings. Employees are also encouraged to continue taking reasonable precautions that make them comfortable, including wearing masks, social distancing and sanitizing hands and surfaces frequently. If your worksite needs additional supplies, please order through the state contract.
Employees who have tested positive for COVID: All employees are required to report to LEO OHR if they have tested positive for COVID. You can access and fill out the LEO OHR COVID Positive Questionnaire under COVID Resources on the LEO OHR Intranet page. Information will be reviewed and someone from LEO OHR will follow up with you directly to discuss quarantine requirements and contact tracing, if necessary. If you test positive and were in the workplace in the last 72 hours, you should also directly email Keri Lardie at lardiek@michigan.gov and leo-ohr@michigan.gov. Those notifications will be a priority for response.
Employees who develop symptoms that could be COVID related: Review the guide and follow the instructions. LEO OHR does not have to be contacted unless you have specific questions.
Employees who have been in close contact with a COVID positive individual: Review the guide and follow the instructions. LEO OHR does not have to be contacted unless you have specific questions.
