Amidst efforts to create a positive economic impact for Michigan communities and facilitate productive reuse of land, the State Land Bank Authority (SLBA) must occasionally verify that a property has a clear title, or if it will require title services before it can move forward in the redevelopment process. Integral to this effort is a qualified title company that understands the state's foreclosure laws and the effects foreclosure can have on the title of a property.
For this reason, the SLBA is requesting responses for an exciting opportunity to provide title work services for SLBA owned properties throughout the State of Michigan. Qualified title agencies would conduct periodic title searches on parcels as requested by the SLBA.
“Determining the status of title on a property can be key in moving a property into productive use," said Jeff Huntington, SLBA Operations Manager. "We look forward to qualified title agencies joining our team to make projects happen.”
