Please join us at the Michigan STEM Workforce Call-To-Action Seminar at the
Henry Ford Museum from June 4-5.
The primary purpose is to engage in local dialogues about how we
can increase the quality of STEM education; the quantity of STEM educated
graduates that are eligible for employment in the Aerospace and Defense
(A&D) industries; and the amount and effectiveness of engagement by A&D
employers, working in partnership with others in their communities.

purpose and objectives of this event and register here.

MichAGAIN: Michigan’s
successful reinvention depends on company growth, and helping Michigan
employers connect with the talent they need helps them grow and create new
jobs. MichAGAIN recruits talented professionals living outside the state, to
events around the country which promote employment opportunities in
Michigan.
Do you have an urgent need for top talent but can’t free up
the time, staffing or capital required to take full advantage of traditional
job fairs? Through Pure Michigan Talent Connect’s MiVirtualCareerFair, the state of Michigan offers a low cost, no-travel
alternative that allows you to connect one-on-one with skilled job seekers from
around the world, all from the convenience of your own office.
Through six events since its inception, MiVirtualCareerFair has connected 70 companies with over 7,000 job
seekers. Several employers have taken
advantage of this opportunity to meet virtually with top talent at multiple
events in 2012 and 2013. Be part of this
great new way to connect! Our third
event of 2013 is scheduled for Wednesday, June 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Employers interested in attending this live virtual event must register and
purchase a booth by June 14, 2013.

MiVirtualCareerFair provides Michigan employers the opportunity to:
- Participate
in a career fair without the added cost for travel, food and lodging.
- Customize
your virtual booth to match your corporate brand.
- Engage
with top job seekers from anywhere in the country via instant chat and
webcam.
- View
and collect resumes and applications from candidates.
- Receive
in-depth, post-event reporting including chat transcripts.
Here’s how it works:
First, you'll register and choose the size and location of your virtual booth
in the interactive, online environment. With the help of our experienced
staff, you’ll build a career fair presence complete with your company logo,
information on your business, and detailed descriptions of the jobs you have
available. Then, on the day of the event, you will be able to log in to your
booth and interact virtually with job seekers as well as promote your business
and your open positions.
Participation in MiVirtualCareerFair costs $300 or $500 based on booth location and size, with discounts
available for taking part in multiple events. In addition to the June
26 date, the state will host three additional MiVirtualCareerFair events in 2013. Click here
for more information and links to demo videos for both employers and job
seekers.
To register for MiVirtualCareerFair, please contact Joe Quick at quickj@michigan.org before
June 14.

The organization expanded their efforts in 2012 with a goal of hosting
hiring fairs in 400 communities, the establishment of a stand-alone program for
military spouses, and a sustained campaign to enlist commitments from the small
business community to hire veterans and military spouses by the end of 2014.
Hiring Our Heroes is
