The Michigan Veterans Affairs
Agency is pleased to announce the addition of Fiat Chrysler North America and
Kellogg Company as their newest silver-level Veteran-Friendly Employers.
Both of these employers are headquartered in Michigan, and work closely with
the MVAA and other Veteran-Friendly Employers to attract veteran and
transitioning service-member talent to our great state.
The MVAA Veteran-Friendly
Employer program was instituted in 2013 to assist employers in attracting,
employing and retaining talented veterans from across Michigan and the
nation. Since its inception, 53 Michigan companies have been certified at
either the bronze, silver or gold level. Employers like General Motors,
US Foods, Spectrum Health, Roush Industries and the Michigan State Police have
all developed veteran hiring programs that meet the rigorous certification
requirements, and each MVAA Veteran-Friendly Employer has made a commitment to
not only recognize our veteran’s past performance, but also their future
potential.
