Westbound I-94 closed from US-23 to M-14 in Washtenaw County this weekend

PROJECT:  
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing about $7.2 million to resurface 9.2 miles of I-94 between M-14 and US-23 in Washtenaw County.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
Westbound I-94 will be closed from US-23 to M-14. The ramps to westbound I-94 will be closed at Jackson Avenue, Ann Arbor-Saline Road, State Street, and US-23; the eastbound I-94 ramp to southbound US-23 will be closed as well.

The detour routes are:

  • Westbound I-94: Take northbound US-23 to westbound M-14/US-23, then southbound M-14 back to westbound I-94.
  • Westbound I-94 ramp to southbound US-23: Take I-94 to westbound US-12 to southbound US-23. 
  • Eastbound I-94 ramp to southbound US-23: Take I-94 to westbound US-12 to US-23 southbound.
  • Southbound US-23 ramp to eastbound I-94: Take US-23 to eastbound US-12 to eastbound I-94.
  • Northbound US-23 ramp to westbound I-94: Take US-23 to westbound M-14/US-23, then southbound M-14 back to westbound I-94.

SAFETY BENEFITS:
This resurfacing work will result in a smoother driving surface and improved safety.
