Mark your calendar for a Dec. 2 TEDx COUNTDOWN event presented by the Urban Wood Network, taking place at Michigan State University's STEM Teaching and Learning Facility constructed from mass timber. COUNTDOWN is a global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas into action. The event will feature the talk, "How Urban Wood Utilization Positively Impacts Carbon & The Climate Crisis," along with other COUNTDOWN TEDx talk videos. Get event details and tickets.
Communities can earn points and measure their progress toward sustainability by joining the Michigan Green Communities Challenge. The challenge, launching in January, is open to any local government in Michigan. Awards will highlight bronze, silver or gold certifications that show progress in categories like energy efficiency and other initiatives. Joining provides access to educational workshops and networking opportunities. Learn more and join the challenge.
