New license sales system coming Feb. 15-18; buy licenses/permits early

License sales system upgrade Feb. 15-18

We will replace our license sales system Saturday, Feb. 15 – noon Tuesday, Feb. 18. DNR licenses, permits and applications will not be sold in stores or online during that time.

To avoid any interruption to your outdoor activities that weekend, please purchase any necessary licenses or permits early.

Please note the following license information:

Fishing

Free Fishing Weekend is Feb. 15-16. No fishing license is needed that weekend. The DNR also is allowing free fishing Feb. 17. All rules and regulations still apply.

Snowmobiling/ORV

You can purchase a trail permit at select dealers selling preprinted ORV licenses and ORV and snowmobile trail permits while the system is down.

Hunting

Planning to hunt small game that weekend? Plan ahead and buy your base license before Feb 15 – either online at eLicense or at a license agent location.

Existing eLicense customers will keep their usernames but will have to reset their passwords the first time they log in to the new system, starting Feb. 18.
