Last week we announced the opportunity for the public to review and comment on the latest round of proposed changes to rules governing off-road vehicle use on state forest roads in Michigan's northern Lower Peninsula. Those proposed changes include:

  • Adding roads that previously were unmapped.
  • Deleting mapped roads that no longer exist.
  • Closing roads to conventional vehicle use (including ORVs); closing roads only to ORV use, and opening roads to ORV use.

This is one way to share your thoughts (by Dec. 7) before new maps showing state forest roads and whether they're open or closed to ORV use are finalized and published in April 2019. Don't miss out!
