The Coastal Management Program
in the Michigan Office of the Great Lakes today announces a special Grant
Funding Opportunity for coastal water trails.
The grant opportunity will
make $350,000 available for planning and implementing water trail projects along
Michigan’s more than 3,000 miles of Great Lakes coastline. The plans and
projects are intended to provide public access to water resources, enhance
sustainable recreation opportunities and bolster the economies of coastal
communities. Coastal Management Program staff will provide technical assistance
and guidance to grantees.
Click to download the Grant Funding Opportunity criteria. Complete proposals must be
postmarked or hand-delivered no later than March 5.
