Facilitated by Shirley Orr, executive director of the Association of Public Health Nurses, and supported by ASTHO's A.C. Rothenbuecher, MPH, director of workforce, and Allison Budzinski, MSW, CAPSW, senior workforce analyst, this virtual series is designed for public health professionals working in governmental agencies. Participants will explore real-world strategies to address today's nursing workforce challenges, including staffing shortages, burnout, and evolving role expectations.
The five-part series also offers a collaborative space to strengthen leadership skills, apply systems thinking, and share tools and ideas with peers across the country.
The Lurie Institute for Disability Policy at Brandeis University and the National Research Center for Parents with Disabilities are hosting a webinar on emergency preparedness for parents with disabilities. Presenters will discuss preparedness planning for individuals with disabilities, including assembling an emergency kit, sheltering in place, and navigating emergency situations. Advisory Board members of the National Research Center for Parents with Disabilities will share perspectives based on their personal experiences with emergency planning and response. Presenters:
