COVID-19 test ordering direct from manufacturer

Dear Long Term Care Partners,

With recent funding changes at the federal level that resulted in the discontinuation of the MDHHS COVID-19 Test Kit distribution program, many long-term care facilities (LTCF) have inquired about where they can purchase COVID-19 test kits. LTCF now have the option to purchase these kits directly from the manufacturer, Abbott Laboratories, or one of their distribution partners.

To facilitate continued access to rapid testing, Abbott has made the BinaxNOW kits available for direct ordering by LTCF providers. This ensures your facility can maintain testing protocols as needed to support resident and staff safety.

In addition to making test kits available for purchase, Abbott may be able to extend special government pricing to qualifying LTCF partners who wish to purchase COVID-19 or COVID-19 + Flu combo test kits directly from them.
