Several public health partners have joined together to develop an Infodemiology Training Program for public health professionals (and other modules for other professions). It is self-paced with a series of videos ranging from 30 seconds to 30 minutes, 10 hours total and brief quizzes.
Unfamiliar with infodemiology? Infodemiology is a new field of study to understand the way information distributes and evolves through electronic mediums. Understanding to prevent/stop the spread of misinformation and disinformation is a core purpose of the field.
With the launch of the training program, there were also several dashboards launched to provide public health free, in-depth media monitoring on core topics: vaccines, opioids, mental health, and reproductive health. We hope to offer more training on using these dashboards in the coming days, but you’ll learn most everything you need to know through this course. It is highly recommended!
