End of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Quantity Limit Restoration DMEPOS

Attention Durable Medical Equipment/Medical Suppliers:

Policy bulletin MMP 23-27 announces the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) effective May 11, 2023.  As indicated in MMP 23-27 (Attachment A), quantity limits for durable medical equipment and medical supplies will be restored to pre-PHE requirements. Currently quantity limits for items in Attachment A are not listed in the CHAMPS Code Rate and Reference tool as the quantity limits were removed during the PHE.  Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has posted a reference list for providers with the Attachment A codes and corresponding pre-PHE quantity limits. The reference list is posted on the Medical Supplier Database webpage: www.michigan.gov/medicaidproviders <<Billing & Reimbursement <<Provider Specific Information <<Medical Supplier.  The reference list will remain on the Medical Supplier webpage until May 11, 2023.  After May 11, 2023, quantity limits will be restored in the Medicaid Code Rate & Reference tool.
