Please share the following information with providers in your jurisdiction.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Division of Immunization, would like to inform you of an upcoming educational opportunity. MDHHS will be hosting a special Noontime Knowledge on Thursday March 9, 2023, at 12:00p.m ET.

We have invited a guest speaker, Dr. Lawrence An, to share information on how to have productive COVID-19 and COVID-19 vaccine conversations. Dr. An is a general internist and Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan, where he is also the director of the Center for Health Communications Research (CHCR) and Assistant Director for Community Outreach and Engagement for the UM Rogel Cancer Center.

Goals of the presentation include:

  1. To provide an update on key facts related to COVID-19
  2. To provide an update on key facts related to COVID-19 vaccines
  3. To provide conversation strategies to help build trust and have meaningful and informative conversations with vaccine hesitant families
