 Welcome to the SHOARS Line newsletter! As a user of SHOARS, you will receive this newsletter any time we have important news and updates to share about the system. On Saturday, September 24th several important updates went into effect, all aiming to improve your experience when using SHOARS. Here is how we have improved SHOARS for you:
Profile Management

The “Business Name/Affiliation Name” section on your SHOARS profile has now been replaced with a look-up field. Next time you login to SHOARS, navigate to your profile page and select your agency from the list!

We are excited to introduce the concept of an Agency Dashboard where affiliates can view/manage information for an agency as a whole, including associated contacts, amendments, programs, and other details.
Grant Management
- A fifth amendment cycle has been added to the calendar exclusively for Local Health Departments (to request line-item changes that do not result in an overall budget impact).
Materials & Information

Now you will be notified when items are back in stock if you attempt to order anything while supplies are out!

Health promotion materials are now organized into two categories in the supply order form to help you find just what you need – “for medical providers” and “for patients/clients”.
 Communication

Now you can upload files to SHOARS for an amendment request, on your organization page, linked to a program, on your SHOARS profile, or upload a document linked to a request – all from the SHOARS system!
More details regarding these improvements + training resources will be available soon on our website!
As a heads up, you will be asked to confirm your profile details are up to date every 6 months. Some changes might have been made to the registration form since you first logged in, and additional fields could be required.
Whether you are prompted to update your profile or not, we are asking all DHSP Partners to note their “Business Name/Affiliation Name” on the profile page next time you login. This helps ensure the latest information is in SHOARS – thank you.
SHOARS is dynamic and will continue to evolve. For us to make SHOARS the best system it can be, we need your input!
