Michigan Guidelines for the Implementation of Crisis Standards of Care and Ethical Allocation of Scarce Medical Resources and Services During Emergencies and Disasters Webinar

The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems (LARA/BCHS) in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), will host a Zoom Webinar Thursday, August 25, at 9:00 a.m. for all providers and stakeholders on the updated Michigan Guidelines for the Implementation of Crisis Standards of Care and Ethical Allocation of Scarce Medical Resources and Services During Emergencies and Disasters that were completed last year. The Department has developed additional guidance with specific information relevant to decision-makers in long term care facilities who need to make challenging allocation decisions and implement policies to ethically distribute scarce resources during emergencies and disasters. The new guidance addresses many of the ethical issues facing skilled nursing facilities making resource allocation decisions and provides a framework for planning for crisis standards of care. Guidelines can be found at https://www.michigan.gov/coronavirus . At the top, select Resource Tab, and then select For Health Professionals.

Please register for the Zoom webinar using the link below. You will receive a confirmation email and have the option to add it to your calendar once you register.
