An Important PII/PHI Reminder
Please do not upload or include any Protected Health Information (PHI) or Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in SHOARS. This includes information that can be used to identify, contact, or locate a person living with HIV/STIs (i.e., patient name, DOB, address, email, SSN). SHOARS was created to help manage the communication and working relationships between DHSP and our amazing partners, and not to house any PII/PHI.

SHOARS Has Been Updated with Some Improvements
These updates are mostly cosmetic and aimed to improve your experience when using SHOARS. Here’s how we’ve improved SHOARS for you:
Grant Management Related Functions
- We’ve added more places where you can approve an amendment request.
Materials, Supplies, & Data Request Related Functions
- You can now view all notes related to a request’s activity and status.
Training and Events Related Functions
- When you navigate to the “My Information” tab at the top of your homepage and select “My Event Details”, you can now see a training transcript with information from past events.
More details regarding these improvements + training resources will be available soon on our website!
Staffing Changes?
If you have staff members either leaving or joining your team, please contact SHOARS Support so that we can either help new staff members register in the system or remove records for previous employees.
