This week PHEP distributed funding allocations for BP3 to each LHD and Tribal Health program. We are currently operating on level funding and hope that once the federal budgets are finalized we may see an increase. We are currently still operating under a continuing resolution.
A multi-disciplinary group has been working to create a virtual behavioral health seminar specifically geared toward the healthcare community. The date has been set for June 16, 2022. Registration is now open, and continuing education credits will be offered for Doctors, Nurses, EMS, Social Work and Nursing Home Administrators. On February 25, 2022, MDHS published a memo that clarified expectations of EMS personnel responding to long term care facilities during emergency and non-emergency situations. The memo was sent to EMS agencies, medical control authorities, regional healthcare coalitions, and long term care facilities.
