New Year, New System!

Happy New Year from DHSP! We know that many of our partners have already registered and started to use SHOARS. A BIG thanks to everyone who has taken the time to create an account and help spread the word. We appreciate your time and patience as we transition to this new and important system.

Who Should Register for SHOARS?

All DHSP partners will need to register/create a profile in SHOARS. This includes anyone who:

• receives communications, notifications, or newsletters from DHSP.
• is associated with an HIV/STI program in Michigan.  
• receives funding from DHSP. 
• attends trainings, events, or conferences run by DHSP. 
• requests HIV/STI: supplies, data, health promotion materials, technical assistance, etc. from DHSP. 
• interacts with DHSP. 

Odds are – if you are reading this newsletter, you will want to create your own SHOARS account!

How to Register

• For partners without a State of Michigan email address (NOT @Michigan.gov), CLICK HERE to view the registration guide. 
• For partners with a State of Michigan email address (@Michigan.gov), CLICK HERE to view the registration guide.
• There will be a delay between registration and receiving full access to SHOARS (likely 1-2 business days). If it has been more than 3 business days since you registered and have not heard back from us, please contact MDHHS-SHOARS-Support@michigan.gov.

January 29th Update

On January 29th, SHOARS will update with some new and improved functions. These updates are mostly cosmetic and aimed to improve your experience when using SHOARS. Thank you to our partners who recommended changes that are part of this first update. If you have questions regarding these system updates, or have some suggestions on how we can improve the SHOARS experience, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Where to Find Support

• We highly encourage all DHSP partners to view the SHOARS training video, walkthrough slides, and registration guide to help you prepare and learn to navigate this new system. All DHSP partners will be required to register for SHOARS and use the system for communications with DHSP.
