HIV and STI Data and Statistics reports are available on our website with the most recent surveillance data through 2020.
See our Data & Statistics webpage to access these reports with information by county or local health department that highlights priority populations by age, race, sex, and other demographic characteristics.
Available to review are:
- Annual STI Diagnoses & HIV Prevalence Report – these reports provide a snapshot of a year in STI diagnoses (chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis) as well as HIV prevalence. You can view these data as tables (STI/HIV) or as a slide deck highlighting key information (STI/HIV).
- HIV & STI Diagnosis Trend Reports – look at the 10-year history of STI diagnoses and diagnosis rates in Michigan, as well as which trends show a statistically significant increase or decrease among sub-populations (STI). Please note that, due to the coronavirus pandemic, case data in 2020 did not follow expected trends, and a special report highlights these observed changes for HIV.
- HIV Care Reports – the Continuum of Care report here shows progress towards care goals and gaps in HIV care by special populations and is available as tables or slides.
- Coinfections and Co-Diagnoses – overlapping diagnoses of different STIs concurrent with HIV, as well as co-diagnoses of chlamydia and gonorrhea together, can be accessed in table form or as a slide deck highlighting disparities and priority populations. Coinfections of tuberculosis and HIV are explained in a fact sheet.
