Attention All Providers: Administration of Additional Doses of COVID-19 Vaccines

Attention all Medicaid Providers:
Effective August 12, 2021, The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is covering additional doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine and the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine in alignment with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations.
New CPT codes for the administration of additional doses of COVID-19 vaccines:
- 0003A - ADM SARSCOV2 30MCG/0.3ML 3RD (Pfizer)
- 0013A - ADM SARSCOV2 100MCG/0.5ML3RD (Moderna)
Reimbursement for the administration of additional doses of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines will be $37.85. (Please refer to the MDHHS provider COVID-19 Response database below).
