Review the NEW CDC Reference Materials on COVID-19 Vaccine

Good Morning Immunization Partners,

 CDC has created some terrific reference materials on the COVID-19 vaccines. They created a COVID-19 Vaccine Quick Reference Guide for Healthcare Professionals, which is a NEW quick reference that provides basic information on proper storage, preparation, and administration of all the currently authorized COVID-19 vaccine products in the United States.

CDC has also created NEW reference materials that are ready for use regarding the Interim Clinical Considerations. They have a summary document and a poster format for the clinical considerations and vaccine administration errors and deviations.  

• The Interim Clinical Consideration Summary provides an easy reference of clinical considerations.
• The Vaccine Administration Errors and Deviations table is an easy reference for information on handling vaccine administration errors. This table provides resources for preventing and reporting COVID-19 vaccine administration errors, as well as actions to take after an error has occurred.

Please review these reference materials. They are helpful and provide the highlights on COVID-19 vaccines, clinical considerations, and vaccine administration errors in an easy to read format.
