One year later: we have hope on the horizon

One year ago, our world changed forever. Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist yesterday released a video to honor those we have lost and all of us still making sacrifices today.

Yesterday marked one year since COVID-19 was first reported in our state. But we’re in the second half of our fight against the virus, and we’re all on the same team. We’re united against this virus. We have three safe and effective vaccines against this virus. We are determined to ensure that every Michigander who wants the vaccine can get the vaccine.

And as the Governor said, ‘As vaccinations ramp up nationwide, we can see the light at the end of this tunnel.’

We’ve come so far. Let’s keep our hope alive and finish this fight to defeat COVID once and for all.
