This Just In: One Million Michiganders Vaccinated

Protect Michigan Commission

This just in!

One million Michiganders have received their first dose of the approved COVID-19 vaccine.

This is a significant milestone – one that builds upon the announcement you may recall hearing about recently. Last week, Governor Whitmer announced that one million vaccine doses had been administered – a total that includes the amount of both first and second doses that have been given out.

This new milestone means that wOne million Michiganderse have officially begun the vaccination process for 1 million residents – an incredibly encouraging sign as Michigan works to vaccinate at least 5.6 million people.

We still have a long way to go to ensure that least 70% of Michigan residents age 16 and over are vaccinated by year's end. To make that happen, the Protect Michigan Commission is committed to getting communities in every corner of the state the information they need about the vaccine.

To build off the momentum of this important step, can you share the graphic you see in this email with your networks? Let them know that Michigan is making strides in the vaccination process with the help of local health departments, hospitals and pharmacy partners.

Join us in celebrating this accomplishment as we work together towards a future without COVID-19. Thank you for your support in helping us reach 1 million people, and for your continued efforts to reach even more.
