DEPR will conduct the annual test of sub-awardee’s 24/7 contact during the second quarter of the funding year. This test will include both LHDs and tribes this year. This drill is an unannounced exercise conducted outside of normal business hours. Feedback will be given to each individual sub-awardee by the end of the calendar year. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will sponsor a free webinar on Thursday, September 26, 2019, 1:00 – 2:00 PM ET, on the interdependencies between the water and healthcare/public health sectors. The webinar will feature the lessons learned from a series of eight workshops conducted nationally from 2016 to 2018. Prior joint planning and communications between the sectors are vital to an effective response to emergencies and protection of the public’s health.
