SPECIAL WORK PLAN EDITION

In this update:

PHEP BP1 Work Plan for Sub-Awardees

The PHEP Work Plan for Local Health Departments and Federally Recognized Tribal Health Partners is here. Items of note for this work plan are:

1. One document for all sub-awardees - both LHDs and tribal health partners
2. This work plan is intended to set the minimum standard and should not be viewed as an all-inclusive set of requirements.
3. This work plan accounts for the recent passage of the Pandemic All Hazards Preparedness and Advancing Innovation Act of 2019 (PAHPAIA of 2019)
4. All sub-awardees are required to review MOUs/MOAs they have with their partners and update as needed. Sub-awardees will report their progress in the mid- and year-end progress reports.
5. All sub-awardees are asked to identify activities they are undertaking (or plan to undertake) that are not already explicitly listed in this work plan and support establishing the PHEP emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
6. LHDs are expected to continue the whole community inclusion process begun in BP1S (FY 2018-2019)
7. LHDs are expected to be 3-deep on MI CIMS and show proficiency by completing at least 2 of the quarterly exercises offered by MSP

Sub-awardee health departments and tribal health partners are asked to review the work plan in its entirety and to send the completed signature page by July 31, 2019, to MDHHS-BETP-DEPR-PHEP@michigan.gov.

This work plan will be discussed on the EPC Call on Thursday, July 11 at 1:30 pm. If you have questions or issues that need to be addressed prior to Thursday's call, contact Katie Dunkle-Reynolds at dunklek@michigan.gov
