CDC Publishes New Tool for Community Planners

CDC has published a new tool that helps community planners identify their community organizations’ roles, responsibilities, and resources and determine potential gaps, such as overlooked available partnerships and services, in their all-hazards planning. Planners can use the activities available in the tool, “Space, Staff, Stuff: Identifying Your Community’s Resources,” to update their community resource lists on a regular basis. Community planners also will be able to identify resources that they would use on a more routine basis, such as additional event space for meetings and conferences and transportation support for home-bound individuals. Print and electronic versions of the tool and user guide are available on the State and Local Readiness Communities Planning web page.
